SNOWY SUNDAY



Hello from Williamsport we had about 2'' of snow since yesterday; enugh to keep DW and I home from a bonfire and birthday celebration ; us old folks; need to be warm and dry; we have eaten all the turkey we can hold and are now in a holding pattern for Christmas; here; the look from my back deck today

HELLO AGAIN FROM OKEECHOBEE


Hello everyone; we are fine enjoying the sun and warm,, busy being retired and doing so much;;;;card playing with Don and Gail seems to be the order of the days; we also layed a few 12x12 blocks out back around the gas grill and near the new AC/Heat exchange unit; rode our bikes this am but only thru OkEE-tan-ie rv park;

Sunday Update


We went to church in Buckhead Ridge today at StTreasa's both of us enjoyed the priest; it's beautiful here warm and sunny had to install the window A/C today for a few days until our other units are updated;; We may go to the VFW this afternoon music and dancing for us oldies; our gator is back in the pond DW saw him again yesterday; we have to get busy wiht our geocaching;

Hi we are setteling in and enjoying being warm' sorry folks we may get a bit of rain in the next few days; not much happening we are the only snow birds here at this time; did our usual Friday night at the Moose for Catfish very good;

Summer's over 32 degrees in Pa today we will be south bound by this time tomorrow for a few weeks before Thanksgiving; Have had a great time with the families .

WHERE HAS APRIL GONE











I am going to try this again; we are back in Pa; busy busy; seeing family and old friends and missing the family and friends in Fla; Pam and family were here for Easter; Lynn made her first trip to Pa with the twins and we all sure had a great time; Dw and I have been working in our yards and me also re-doing the bedroom with Pam and the girls help so things are shaoing up for summer;

END OF MARCH/START OF SPRING





This is Pam in our "cabin" on board the
"Bahamas Celebration" the name should
say it all. We slept in a closet !!and laughed ; or joked or made fun of
everything; the weather was good, food
good;ship clean but aged;; enjoyed the day on Nassau;especially the aquariam
tour; and shopping; Our travel group
was good sports about everything; we even had some time on the pool deck;
here is Pam in Okee under the banana tree in Don/Gail's yard;we are eating the fruit this week yummmmy!!!
As March rushes out we must prepair for
depature to the North!! we will spend a day or so in South Carolina then on to Pa.
We are hoping for warm weather there and Spring flowers; our "snow bird" friends are starting to leave and we will follow suit come the weekend;Time for a new "adventure" in our home city;;

BACK IN OKIE

Here we are again back in Okie after a trip to the FT Myers area; we overnighted on Pine Island at the St James City KOA; ate lots; saw Unckle Buckey and his friend Carol at the Cracker Barrel for dinner Friday night; Edgar has been with is and enjoying the "Spring Break" activities of the seniors; he is missing his Lady but that will be remedied Sunday; then on to more activities(Canasta, Bike Riding,breakfast clubbing, all the fun action of we "seniors"!!!!) then on to the big time in MOUSELAND; never too old for Disney;;;; DW and I had to take the long way home couldn't get thru the traffic in LaBelle after all the Swamp Cabbage Festival is in full swing today and tomorrow; Rand will have lots of stories of Swamp cabbage, sour orange, and Speckeled Perch festival times of great excitement in southern Florida Cheers all

WALKING WITH ALLIGATORS







Rand and Lori arrived yesterday; nice high 70/80 degree temps; they are set up at Don and Gails' Sayman Arms RV area; today we had breakfast at the Okeechobee Airport Landing Strip Cafe excellent breakfast!! then we went to the Taylor Creek Water Mgt. area to walk and look for alligators; sun was up and very warm so we hit the jackpot;; Lori was not sure she wanted the critters behind her but we convinced her they would not plot to get us; see the pictures I hope I can add ; Tonight the six of us went to the Moose for Beef Tips and Noodles also good and no cooking or dishes involved;;

catching up


NOT SURE WHAT TO CATCH UP ON; we have been rather slow here weather chilly; not much activity; Last Saturday we had visitors Bruno, Wayne and Wendy to our neck of the state; we ate at our favorite Pizza place and really enjoyed their visit; Friday was our yard sale here nothing for me to sell but I helped::: This weekend is the SPECKLED PERCH FESTIVAL we went to the parade this morning and blinked and almost missed it!!!!! then we had a funnellcake and listened to some music before we walked around the craft tents; Today I finally shed my jeans and I am in capris yeah finally temps will climb the next few days just in time for Lori and Rand's arrival; my bronchitis is better and DW only had a cold so we are on the mend; went to the MOOSE today the first time in weeks;;

First Saturday of 2009




This sure has been a busy week; New Years, lunch on NY Day at the community room; Sour Kraut;pork;hotdogs; and baked beans with Don and Gail plus some 500 and watching Penn State get slammed; oh well that's how it goes;




we have been riding our bikes about 9 miles every day now DW is thingking of upping the milage; we also walked at a new preserve saw lots of birds; and several alligators; and found a nice geoCACHE; Itook some pictures I will try to up load happy and healthy new year to all our loved ones and friends;;
